Melanie Therrien is working with Lewiston's Public Art Committee to expand her Traffic Control Box Public Art Project. The project has been a way to cover up vandalism and has expanded to 17 more boxes painted in the spring of 2024, 19 in the fall of 2024 and the last boxes in the spring of 2025.
Public Art is a great way to share art with others that is free and accessible to everyone. By investing in Public Art we can help beautify our city by covering up vandalism, create a sense of place, boost economic growth and gives artists opportunities.
